Welcome to Faithful Friends Guinea Pig Rescue, where compassion, education, and faith come together to provide a safe haven for guinea pigs in need. For over 18 years, we’ve been rescuing and rehabilitating guinea pigs, offering them not just a second chance at life, but also a new beginning.
Our mission is built on a deep commitment to not only save guinea pigs from neglect and abandonment but also to educate the public about proper care, welfare, and the dangers of backyard breeding. We believe that every guinea pig deserves a loving, well-informed home where their needs are met and their well-being is a top priority.
At Faithful Friends, we advocate strongly against backyard breeding. This harmful practice contributes to an overwhelming number of guinea pigs in shelters and rescues, leading to overcrowding and the need for more resources than can be provided. By sharing our knowledge on proper guinea pig care, we aim to create a community that makes informed decisions, providing a brighter future for these beautiful creatures.
Our work is driven by a faith in Christ, which guides every decision we make and every life we touch. We believe that God calls us to serve and protect the voiceless, and it is through His love that we are able to offer our time, resources, and hearts to these sweet, gentle animals. Can we visit the guinea pig rescue?
While we absolutely love and appreciate those who have asked to visit and show them love, visits are something we do not offer at this time. The rescue is located on our primary residence, and for the safety and protection of our family and guinea pigs we don't offer on-site visits.
Why don't you have adoption services?
We have seen unfortunate scenarios where other rescues have adopted out, and those who adopted weren't vetted or they had ill intentions from the beginning. We have rescued guinea pigs that were adopted out from a different rescue, to only be put on Craigslist for a profit higher than their adoption fee.
Why don't you accept donations?
We don't accept donations, because we are more focused about spreading awareness and being a safe-haven for guinea pigs in need than accepting donations. I received a lot of feedback from those who donate to rescues/ sanctuaries, and they have stated they feel pressured at times to donate. And we don't ever want anyone to feel pressured. We just want to spread awareness and the proper care it takes to care for a guinea pig.
